1st attempt at making bows!

Ok so I actually have a nack for crafts and re-purposing things, I always have ideas of stuff to do but don't nearly often enough actually get to do the things I want.  One reason might be I live in the present and don't set aside time for things I just go where the day leads which I think is a good way to live.  Another reason is I'm very cost aware and don't like to spend money on things when Its not a need and that makes my want to do this or that just a want not a need so I end up putting it off.  For mothers day this year me and the family went out to the store and no I didn't want any jewelry, or flowers that would just die or candy or any of that stuff what I wanted was all things crafty for the ideas I have going on in my head so we loaded up and got a few fabrics, ribbon, and other little things needed. Ive got what I need to make the curtains for my girls room and some tutus for the girls. Ive looked and tutus cost usually around 25.00 or more to buy but Ive seen the fabric and know I can make them much more cost efficient than that just gotta get to it. So that's my plan making tutus and then I thought well I'm going to have extra lil fabric leftover why cant I make lil bows with it?
So I looked online and sure enough it wasn't hard at all to make a bow out of tulle so I had this great idea to make matching lil bows for the girls and a matching headband for me while were in the hospital cause I'm sure I'm going to want my hair all up out of my face when it gets looking all nappy on day 2 of the stay and plus I thought it would be cute to take pictures and we all have lil matching bows going on.  Ive of course as I'm used to put it off but seeing that delivery day may be just around the corner set aside some time during the evening while my boys were running around playing hardcore to bust out the fabric and get to it.
These are my boys and the tools I started out with looked simple enough right once I brought out all my goodies of course my boys were right there and I thought it was funny they both tilted their heads the same way to take the picture but a couple of supplies and fabric and I was set to go off they ran while I got busy.

This was my first bow attempt which I knew would end up being my bow because as I made it I could tell well this isn't exactly working right its not as fluffy as the girls even though I have now figured out to make them fluff and fixed the minor couple things I didn't do right the first time I didn't stop I just kept on going to see what end products I would get. I revamped my technique a bit and was off  for more.

These are the girls bows which are much fluffier and my second and third attempt ever at making a bow might I add a little bit more working with the fluff and I was done with the bow making part.

So here's what I'm working with now Ive got my bow and a headband and then the girls headbands and their bows now it was time to bust out the hair clips and hot glue gun now for the easy parts.
And Yay I actually did it after a few ow ows from the heat of the glue gun it was nothing  hardest part actually making the bow but after that the possibilities go from there both of the girls bows are on clips that I can remove from the headband if and when they do get hair making them even more convenient and usable I can add more decorations to them if I wanted but like I said this is my first try ever so I kept it simple as possible and I think they look pretty good they each have 8 petals of fluffy glittery pink poof, good enough for me! Cant wait to model them on my girlies! Now its your turn get out there and try something new!
